Payment Processor Change for Boost / Volusion Catalogs: Part 2

Prerequisites

  1. You have signed up for a PayPal Business account by completing the instructions from "Payment Processor Change for Boost / Volusion Catalogs: Part 1 (July 2022)"
  2. You have received the special Volusion Admin login from Emerge2

Instructions

  1. Login to the Admin Area of your Volusion catalog using the special Volusion login that was sent to you by Emerge2 Support
  2. Hover over the "SETTINGS" entry in the admin menu and select the "Payment" option
  3. Click "MORE PAYMENT TYPES"
  4. Enable: [x] PayPal (if this is already enabled and if you have an [UPGRADE] button available, then click the [UPGRADE] button, follow its prompts, ignore steps 5-14, and continue at the "Remaining Tasks" heading below)
  5. As soon a you enable PayPal, addition information will be displayed under this option
  6. Click the [CONNECT ACCOUNT] button
  7. This will generate a PayPal pop-up window
  8. Enter your PayPal Business login email address, set your country, and click the [Next] button
  9. On the next page, log into your PayPal Business account
  10. On the next page, select "(*) Use existing business account" and click the [Next] button
  11. On the next page, consider updating the default values in the following fields:
    1. "Name of business" is only 11 characters long and is what is shown on the customer's statement. Make sure it's a good short-form for your company name.
    2. "Product or service keywords, e.g. "Hardware Stores"
    3. "What are your monthly sales?" should include all of your PayPal and non-PayPal (in-store) sales, select the appropriate range from the drop-down list
    4. It is suggested that you populate all of the optional fields, e.g. Website, Customer service email, Customer service phone number.
    5. Click the [Next] button
  12. On the next page, it should default to the info you provided when you signed up for this business account. Accept or update the details, review and agree to the Terms, and click the [Next] button
  13. On the "Tell us about your beneficial owners" page, provide the requested management and owner info and click the [Continue] button
  14. Continue with the prompts until you are done with PayPal

Remaining Tasks

If Volusion provides an "Alternative Settings" link, this can be ignored. We will configure that part.

Once you have finished the connection or upgrade activity, send the following email to Emerge2 Support:

Subject: Paypal connection completed

We have completed the Paypal connection steps.

After Emerge2 Support receives this email, we will finish the Volusion configuration activities and let you know when PayPal payments are completely configured on your catalog.
