Payment Processor Change for Boost / Volusion Catalogs: Part 1

Overview

Volusion, who provides the online ecommerce system as part of the Boost Program, is requiring most merchants to change their payment (credit card) processor in July 2022.

If you were sent an email with a link to this article, then your Volusion catalog is currently configured with a discontinued payment processor (e.g. Bambora, Linkpoint, Network Merchants, PayPal Express, VerisignPro, etc.). You will need to sign-up for a new payment processor quickly before Volusion disables the current payment processors.

Step 1 - New Payment Processor Sign-up

You will need to sign-up for a PayPal Business account.

PayPal has Business accounts and Personal accounts. You must sign-up for a Business account (a Personal account will not work to process payments).

Go to the following link to start the process:
  1. Dealers in the USA:
    1. Go to https://paypal.com
    2. Click [Sign Up]
    3. Select the "Business" or "Run your business" or similar option, and click the button, e.g. [Get Started]
    4. Follow the prompts to sign-up under your company name
  2. Dealers in Canada:
    1. Go to https://paypal.ca
    2. Click [Sign Up]
    3. Click [Sign Up for a Business Account]
    4. Follow the prompts to sign-up under your company name
The above prompts might be different for you since PayPal adjusts their questions based upon your location and any previous PayPal sessions in your current browser. In short, find and follow the steps to sign-up for a Business account on the PayPal system.

Step 2 - Inform Emerge2

Once your PayPal business account has been successfully created, send the following email to Emerge2 Support and we will reply with a special Volusion login that you will need to perform the last set of instructions:

Subject: Paypal account created

We have created a Paypal business account.
