Updating Store Hours (Impact)

Stores often change their hours based on the season. Whenever a store's hours change, this change needs to be applied to multiple online systems.

This article explains which systems need to be updated when the store hours change for an Impact dealer.

Overview: You will need to update hours in two places on your website: Contact page and Location page. The following instructions will guide you through this process.

Where in Impact

Orgill’s Impact eCommerce system has two Admin areas (Elastic Path and Builder.io). All content edits, such as changes in your store hours, happen in Builder.io. If you don’t have a Builder.io login yet, refer to Requesting a Builder.io Login.

In Builder.io, there are two main areas where the hours need to be updated.

Log in to Builder.io and proceed with the following instructions for each area.

Contact Page

Navigate to: Content > Content Type > Page models > Page. You will see an area with a list of all your website pages on the right.



Click on the Contact page name to open the Visual Editor.

Find the Text block with your store hours in the work area. Click to select it.

Go to the Options tab on the right and edit the store hours information as needed.


Once you make all of the changes you need, select [Publish Update] in the top right corner.

Location Page

The Location page is a special page created in the Impact system for each site. Public website users can access it by selecting Location in the page header of your site (near the search bar).



To edit the hours on the Location page, you need to have access to the following area in Builder.io: Content > Structured data models > Store locator > Store Locator.

If you do have access to the area, make the changes in the Store Locator as follows:

Under the Stores section, select the first (or only) store to view the information about that store.



Scroll down to the end of the list until you see the Opening hours section. 



Click on each Opening hour N section to update the hours for each day of the week.

Once you're done, select [Publish Update].

Delayed Update

It might take a while for the changes to appear on your public website. Due to caching, you might still see an old version of the public content for a few hours or a day, even though the updated version can be seen within the Builder.io admin area.

Where in Other Systems

After you have updated the hours on your Impact site, consider other places your customers might check for hours, such as:
  1. Facebook
  2. Instagram
  3. Google Business
  4. Your POS Receipt
Log in to those services and update the hours there as well.
