Stage 4: Which Product Import Method to Use? (Impact Transactional)

Purpose

This article helps you determine which of the two available “product import” methods you should use.

Prerequisites for both available methods

Interactive Import

Adding non-Orgill products using the Interactive Import method involves adding all product data into Impact admin forms, one product at a time.

Who Should Use Interactive Import

If you prefer to copy/paste the product data into online admin forms, one product at a time, then use the following instructions:

Hybrid Semi-Bulk & Interactive Import

The Impact system does not support using a spreadsheet to bulk add all of the data for all of your non-Orgill products.

However, it does support using a spreadsheet to load most of the product data into the Impact system. After importing the data, you will still need to go to each of the imported products, one at a time, and assign each to its correct category, enter its retail price, and upload its product photo.

Who Should Use Hybrid Semi-Bulk & Interactive Import

If you are comfortable adding product data into spreadsheets, and then saving the sheet in a CSV format and importing it into the Impact system, and after doing so, then manually assigning the category, price, and product photo to each imported product, then use the following instructions:
