Updating Text on Your Bongo4U Site

This article explains how to add, edit and remove text on your Bongo4U website. 

In Bongo4U, text is usually added to a page by using WYSIWYG blocks. To learn more about available blocks in Bongo4U, read What Types of Content can be Added to a Page.

Overview: To add, edit and remove text on your Bongo4U website, you need to navigate to the page that needs changes, find or create a WYSIWYG block, open it, type or delete the text and save the changes. The following instructions will guide you through this process.

Log in and Proceed to the Page

Log in to your Bongo4U Website admin area and go to the page you want to add content to (by clicking that page's link in the navigation).

Hover your mouse over (or tap) the "Page Menu:" box or link, and the Page Menu will appear.

Hover over (or tap) the "Add to this Page" option on the Page Menu and select WYSIWYG.

After selecting the type of block you want to add, it will be added to the bottom of the current page.

Enter the desired text into that new block and then click the [Save Changes] button.

Edit Text in Bongo4U

Find an existing WYSIWYG block containing the text that needs edits.



Select Edit and edit the text as needed.

Once you're done editing text, select [Save Changes] to save the changes.

Delete Text from Bongo4U

There're two common scenarios for deleting text in Bongo4.

Scenario A - You need to remove a portion of the text. Follow instructions in the "Edit Text in Bongo4U" section above to achieve this.

Scenario B - You need to remove a whole block with the text. Follow the the instructions below to achieve this.

Delete All Text and Content from Bongo4U

Use this instructions ONLY if you need to remove everything in the WYSIWYG block. If only some part of the content need to be removed (for example, you need to remove one sentence but leave the other or remove text but leave images), go to "Edit Text in Bongo4U" section above.

Find an existing WYSIWYG block containing the text that needs to be fully removed.
Warning
Attention! If there's any other content in the block (for example, images), it will also be removed and cannot be recovered.

Select Delete to immediately delete the block and ALL its content from the page.
