Setup my Domain Name to point to my Bongo4U website

To setup your own domain name to point to your Bongo4U website, you will need access to your domain name's DNS configuration wherever your domain name is hosted. Perhaps your ISP or website service provider hosts your domain name's DNS information for you. Someone with access to your domain name's DNS information will need to make the domain name changes described in the second step below.

There are multiple steps in this process.

Step 1

Send an email to support@bongo4u.com and include the following in your email message:

  • The domain name(s) that will point to your Bongo4U website: _____________, ____________
  • Your Bongo4U website's current or pre-launch URL: http://________.bongo4utemp.com

We will add those domain names into the Bongo4U system and point them to your Bongo4U website.

Once we confirm that your domain names have been added to the Bongo4U system, then proceed with step 2.

Step 2

In your domain name's DNS information, you will need to change the IP address of your domain name(s) to be the IP address provided by Emerge2 Support.

Please ensure that you change the IP address of your base domain name(s) as well as its "www." sub-domain alias or related CNAME record.

While you are updating your DNS, please update or add an SPF TXT record which includes "include:_spf.emerge2.com" in the SPF1 string. See the following utility for details: https://ref.emerge2.com/spf/

Once the above steps have been completed and your IP address changes have propagated across the internet (which usually takes up to 24 hours, sometimes longer), then you should be able to use your domain name(s) to access your Bongo4U website.
