Gmail: How to Add a Trusted Sender

Overview

This article outlines the steps to add an email address or domain to a safe senders list, trusted domains list, or 'whitelisting' in GMail.

Process

  1. Log into your Gmail Account - https://gmail.com/
  2. Click the Settings wheel at the top right
  3. Click the "See all settings"
  4. Select the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" heading
  5. Click the "Create a new filter" link
  6. Add the Email address or domain that you want to add to the safe senders (whitelist) e.g. *@some-domain.tld OR firstname@somedomain.tld
  7. Click the [Create filter] button
  8. Select the “[✅] Never send it to Spam” box, and any other options you might want to highlight or manage messages from this address.

  9. Click the [Create filter] button
  10. Repeat steps 1-4 and you should see that the filter was created
The email address should now be trusted and you can repeat this process for other emails or domains.
